Railroad Spur for Coke Transfer

Final stage of the coke transfer process efficiently moves materials between the metallurgical coke plant to the operating blast furnace.

McGraw/Kokosing was contracted to modify and install a rail system for the transportation of coke in an operating facility.

The project involved excavation and grading for 16,200 feet of new sub-base, rail and ballast, removing 6,300 linear feet of existing rail, erection of a new rail car clean out station and excavation of a new retention pond.
